Statement of Support

for our colleagues, clients, and allies in the Black community.

To our Black associates, clients, and allies: We see you. We hear you. We support you, and we stand with you. Since May 26th, we have watched hundreds of thousands, across more than 140 cities, courageously speak out against racial injustice. We are committed to listening, learning, and doing better as a company to support the advancement of racial equity. 
 
To our partners and colleagues within and outside the legal industry: We can and must do better. As a first step to improving diversity, equity, and inclusion, we must recognize that solutions to complex problems require authentic, sincere dialogue. It is incumbent upon leadership to influence change within traditional hiring practices and foster a workplace that addresses marginalization and celebrates diversity. 
 
CLS is a multiracial, cross-cultural organization. We champion equality and craft space for differing perspectives and inclusive contributions. As we continue to navigate a complicated and sobering time, we are committed to doubling down on our diversity efforts with a focus on bringing a broader, more diverse, set of candidates to the forefront of the talent pool.
 
We must come together as a business community and take inventory of our practices while facilitating a humble and forthright discussion. Only then, will we effectively begin to reimagine a path toward collective prosperity.
