The Chicago office of our national publicly traded company is seeking a Manager of Corporate Risk. This attorney will report to the Director of Corporate Risk and play a key role in helping the company identify and manage risk and coverage for general liability, environmental, builder's risk, workers’ compensation, property, and professional liability. The preferred candidate will have at least three years of insurance coverage experience gained at a law firm, insurance company or risk management department handling first party property insurance and related subrogation claims; reviewing and analyzing policy language for various insurance lines; dealing with property insurers, insurance brokers and third party business partners in reviewing insurance plans and specifications for development, redevelopment, tenant improvement and all other construction-related activity; reviewing, analyzing and providing advice on contractual risk of loss terms and insurance requirements; working with captive managers and insurance brokers to manage and evaluate captive risk programs; monitoring and analyzing insurance-related litigation regarding Workers’ Compensation, Professional General Liability, Auto Liability and Physical Damage, Property, Crime and Employment Practices Liability claims; gathering and reporting exposure information and loss experience, posting workers’ compensation notices, and OSHA reporting; monitoring and evaluating safety and loss control processes, including loss prevention, employee safety and facility security; and establishing risk management processes and programs. This is a great in-house opportunity for an insurance coverage attorney who wants to assume significant responsibility in corporate risk review, prevention and management.
