Our small (under 15 attorneys) law firm client is seeking an attorney who has 2-5 years of local government and municipal law experience to advise the firm’s government clients. A knowledge of municipal (especially Illinois township) laws, including all applicable state and federal statutes, rules, ordinances, codes and regulations governing local governments, including FOIA, the Open Meetings Act and the Tort Immunity Act, is essential. This attorney should also understand judicial procedures and rules of evidence, and be familiar with drafting agreements and RFPs. Any experience dealing with breach of contract actions, insurance coverage issues, real estate and/or tax matters is a plus.
